Bagh Alluin     Beautiful Bay

Dear visitor,

The weather has turned cold and wet and the days have grown short. Winter in North Uist has truly arrived.

The Baleshare crofts are full with migrating geese, white tailed eagles hunting rabbits and different species of waders and just off shore you can see the divers.

Winter in the Western Isles is not for the faint hearted, but when you catch a break in the stormy weather you are rewarded with breathtaking colours and landscapes. A contrast to what spring and summer offer.

Whether you are looking for inspiration, outdoor activities, watching local wildlife or simply to relax, Baleshare is the place to be. Renowned for its stunning natural beauty, this region is abundant with wildlife, white sandy beaches, culture and history. Golden eagles and otters are regular sightings on the island, and for those looking for that extra something special, boat trips to St Kilda and the Monach Islands are just a car’s journey away.

We look forward to welcoming new visitors as well as many returning visitors, who we would like to thank for giving B&B Bagh Alluin such a wonderful name.
